Pods are a great way to make friends and build community while growing in faith.

Pods are meant to be a way to gather together and to dive deeper into discipleship.  They’re flexible - you decide when and where to meet. They’re short term, so they don’t require a long-term commitment.  They’re small - this allows for more intimate sharing than might be possible in a larger group setting (introverts will appreciate this).  In one sense, Pods are very easy to do.  To work, however, they will require your dedication. If you complete the readings, come to meetings prepared and open minded, and show up to all four pod sessions, we feel confident you will grow and develop stronger relationships at City Grace. Over the course of a year, if you complete two to three pods, you will get to know a good group of 10 to 15 people, will have read up on a variety of subjects, and will have been walking with others on their journey of discipleship.

You can start or join a Pod anytime!  Just sign up for the Pod of your choice.

More about Pods

Pods are small learning communities made up of 2 to 5 people that meet four times over the course of 6 weeks to delve into a particular topic together. Pods generally focus on a specific book, which you are encouraged to buy. (If cost is an issue, you can request a complimentary copy of the associated book).  You can sign up either alone and be placed in a pod, or sign up with a group.  Each pod is given reading material with assignments to be completed by the time you have your pod session, which your pod schedules.  Time and location are completely up to you and the members of your pod.  Each pod also comes with recommended spiritual exercises and a faith journey assignment which is meant to challenge your faith in a specific area.  Pods will meet four times and are provided agendas with discussion questions to guide the conversation.  To learn more, contact our Pod Coordinator.
